Dependable and Scalable Software Systems
At VSS we design, build, and evaluate large-scale software systems and examine the emerging functional and non-functional properties, with a strong emphasis on scalability and dependability.
In the past, our group has conducted research in the areas of automated log parsing, big data processing, distributed machine learning, middleware, and compiler technology. We look at the entire system stack and find new ways of making software systems leverage novel hardware features better and more efficiently.
